Mandy Little is our new Advice & Information Officer, she is based at our
Luton office, she has been with us now since November 2001.
This is a new position that has been made possible by funding from Luton Borough
Council for three years. Mandy's diary is full of talks to various organisations
and corporations, including talks to schools and community social groups. Mandy
also assists with the filling in and submitting of benefits forms for blind
and partially sighted people such as Attendance Allowance and Disability Living
Allowance.
Contact Mandy at our Luton office for advice and information on our services
and ways of gaining confidence and independence while living with a visual impairment.
Sight Concern Bedfordshire looked into qualifying for a Quality Mark last Summer/Autumn
- We decided to apply for the Commission of Legal Services Quality Mark and
were audited on 26th November 2001.
Needless to say we were awarded our accreditation in the New Year (2002)!
Thanks go to all staff and volunteers who helped us achieve our goal!
